Some map-related news items to pass along:

• The print-on-demand custom map service ($6.99) is back in stock after receiving a new shipment of ink.  If you want any delivered before Christmas, make sure you order by Friday 12/18 so there’s time to print them and ship by Monday 12/21 (and even that is going to be cutting it close!).
• Custom Maps: Deep Space ($5.99) is back in stock!
• New Custom Map: Asteroid Field ($5.99) is now available!
• Another new Custom Map: Desert Hangar ($5.99) is also now available!  This one is particularly cool because its right edge lines up against the bottom edge of the Mos Eisley map from the Saga Edition Core Rulebook and the Rebel Storm starter set.

We’ve had so many inquiries about the map-printing service that we decided to open it up for orders before our Thanksgiving sale.

Since any orders submitted by 5 PM Central on a Friday print the following Monday, these early-bird orders won’t actually ship any sooner than those made on Thursday or Friday.  However, we could get so many orders that we literally run out of ink or paper, so the printing will be on a first-come, first-served basis (and early-bird orders would be first in line).

As part of our upcoming “Black Friday” sale for Thanksgiving weekend, we are launching our new custom map-printing service at its introductory sale price of only $4.99 for a 24″ x 36″ print.  This price is guaranteed only through 11:59 pm on Sunday, November 29th, so get it while it’s hot!

Custom Map-Printing Service - $6.99 $4.99 Need to print your own maps? We got you covered. Our map-printing service gives you a cost-effective alternative to more common on-demand poster-printing services. We print a single-sided map on high-quality heavyweight matte paper (210 g/m^2, 10.2 mil), and we have sizes from 24 x 36 inches and larger. Your file should be in CMYK color (instead of RGB color) and, for best print quality, at a resolution of 150 dpi or better. File formats that support CMYK include JPG, TIFF, PDF, and PSD (PhotoShop Document). If your file is in the wrong color mode (including if you need to send it in a different file type, such as a GIF or PNG), we’ll have to convert it to the right format; unfortunately, this can cause the colors to look different in the printed version than it does on your screen. After ordering, you will receive an email with FTP log-in information that will allow you to upload your file to our server. This email should arrive within a few hours, and no more than one business day. Custom maps that are bought and have their files uploaded via FTP by 5 PM Central on Friday will ship on the following Monday.
